Proteins: from gene to function, 25-26 September, 2007, Stockholm
Annual meeting of SFBM

SFBM (The Swedish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) meeting will be held 25-26 September, 2007 in Stockholm. The main organizers will be Prof. Elisabet Glaser, Stockholm University and Prof. Stefan Hohmann, Göteborg University. The theme of the meeting will be “Proteins: from gene to function” that will cover molecular aspects of the fate of proteins in the cell, including protein expression, transport mechanisms to a correct intracellular compartment, protein folding, assembly and structure/function relationship, as well as the final fate of proteins, their degradation.
The following three sessions will cover the theme:
*Protein expression and assembly
*Protein transport
*Protein structure and folding
*Protein degradation
