Protein crystallography for the non-crystallographer
The course is combined with participation in the SFBM annual conference, and takes place in Lund in November.

The Svedberg award 2009
Per Hammarström receives the Svedberg Award 2009 for his
Innovative contributions to the understanding of protein misfolding at a molecular level. His research contributes to understanding diseases caused by aberrant protein folding and protein aggregation.

The award will be given to Hammarström at a cermony during the annual symposium in Lund.

SFBM, Svenska föreningen för biokemi och molekylärbiologi
(The Swedish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) is a Constituent Society of FEBS (Federation of European Biochemical Societies) which is an Associated Organization to IUBMB (International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology).

Membership
The member fee for 2008 is SEK 100  for students or member of The Swedish Chemical Society, SEK 150 for PhD-students and SEK 300  for regular membership.
