SFBM Symposium
2011 in Tällberg
Book the 18-21 September 2011 for the big SFBM symposium. It will be
held at Åkerblads hotel in Tällberg in Dalarna. More
information available here.
SFBM Annual General Meeting
All members of SFBM are hereby called to the SFBM Annual General Meeting (Sw: Årsmöte), wich occurs during the SFBM Symposium in Tällberg. At the general meeting, a new board and president will be elected for SFBM.
We will also discuss and decide in the co-joining of the Swedish Biophysical Society and SFBM, and the change of name for the new organisation.
Suggestions for the new SFBM board can be sent to Per Elias at per.elias[a]medkem.gu.se.

The EMBO Meeting in Vienna, 10-13 September 2011

Course in Yeast Systems Biology - ICYSB
It is our pleasure to invite interested PhD students and post-doctoral
scientists to join the 5th International Course in Yeast Systems in
Gothenburg, June 6-23 2011. ICYSB will provide a hands-on experience in
combining experimentation and mathematical modelling with an emphasis
on kinetic modelling of cellular pathways. Applications and more

longer included in membership
Members of SFBM will no longer be recieving the magazine BioTech Sweden.

2011:
Biochemistry for tomorrow's medicine
25-30 June, Torino, Italy
Per Jemth receives the
Svedberg Award 2010 for his
Important contributions to the understanding of the interplay
between protein folding and peptide-protein interactions in cell
membrane protein organization.
Jemth is associate professor at Uppsala University and will present his
research as well as receive the prize at the FEBS congress in
Göteborg last June.

SFBM, Svenska föreningen för biokemi och
molekylärbiologi
(The Swedish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) is a
Constituent Society of FEBS (Federation of European Biochemical
Societies) which is an Associated Organization to IUBMB (International
Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology).
Membership
The member fee for 2008 is SEK 100 for students or member of The
Swedish
Chemical Society, SEK 150 for PhD-students and SEK 350 for
regular
membership. Memberships are now administered through The Swedish
